A nine-month-old baby boy is facing charges of planning a murder, threatening police, and interfering in state affairs along with other family members in a Pakistan court.

Charges were brought against the entire family of baby Muhammad Mosa Khan for allegedly throwing stones at Lahore police officers as they raided homes for non-payment their gas bills in Muslim Town, Lahore, according to the Times of India.

The child had his fingerprints taken and was seen sitting on his grandfather’s knee during a hearing, where Judge Rafqat Ali granted bail to the family and adjourned the case until 12 April.

Lahore Police have said that they were unaware of the child when they unilaterally pressed charges against the whole family, and charges against him were a mistake.

Children under seven-years-old unable to be convicted of crimes under Pakistan law, and assistant superintendent Kashif Ahmed, who filed the charges, has since been removed from their position.

The child’s father claims that there is no case against the family, and they were being persecuted for protesting, saying:

“Our crime is that we had protested against non-availability of electricity in our locality”
