Two bomb blast have left at least 37 people dead and 131 injured in the Lebanese capital of Beirut, according to the Lebanese Red Cross
The explosions took place in Burj el-Barajneh, a southern suburb of Beirut where Shia group Hezbollah have strong connections.
Local media reports that the blasts were a result of a coordinated attack by two suicide bombers.
Areas in southern Beirut where the Shia group Hezbollah have an major influence have been targeted by Sunni militants in the past, angry that Hezbollah joined the conflict in neighbouring Syria to help prop up embattled Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
