Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has announced that the black boxes from the MH17 crash, recovered by separatist rebels in Ukraine, will be handed over to Malaysian authorities.

This announcement came as the refrigerated train that is storing the bodies of 196 bodies has left the station at Torez and is expected to travel to the town of Kharkiv where the remains can be examined and identified by a team of international investigators.

As investigators try to reach the crash site to determine the reason that Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 crashed in eastern Ukraine on its journey from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, heavy fighting continues in the region between pro-Russia rebels and Ukrainian forces.

Western countries blame the rebels for shooting the plane out of the sky with a Russian-supplied SA-11 BUK “Gadfly” mobile anti-aircraft missile system, but this cannot be confirmed without access to the black boxes and crash site.
