Masked gunmen broke into an elderly woman’s house in the Bahamas, shooting dead a man who attempted to stop them.
Edgar Dart, 56, was kill after he struggled with the masked men who broke into his mother’s home in Emerald Bay in Grand Bahama at around 07:00 local time (12:00 BST) on Tuesday and tied up family members. Dart bled out on the floor in front of his family.
The attackers are reported to have cut the phone lines to the house before the attack, and fled the scene in a gardener’s van with jewellery and other personal belongings.
Police are yet to arrest any suspects in relation to the murder.
