The avalanche that killed a number of climbers on Mount Everest in the wake of the massive earthquake that struck Nepal on Saturday has been caught on camera.

German climber Jost Kobusch was at Mount Everest Base Camp when he felt the earth shake beneath his feet.

A few seconds after he begins filming, a huge cloud of snow and rock appears tumbling down the mountain towards him and the other climbers in a terrifying video.
