A man has been shot dead and others seriously injured at a house party in Surrey.
Police were called to an address on Church Lane in the village of Headley, near Epson, shortly after 02:30 BST on Monday morning following reports of a disturbance at private party.
Officers discovered the body of one man with a gunshot wound and the ambulance crew subsequently pronounced him dead at the scene.
Several other people at the location are believed to have suffered serious injuries.
A murder investigation into the man’s death has been launched and police have appealed for anyone who attended the private party to come forward.
A number of police officers remain at the scene, but Surrey Police have reassured Headley residents that “there is no ongoing risk“.
No arrests have yet been made, but police are following a number of lines of inquiry.
