A mother had been charged with the murder of three of her children, whose bodies were found at their home in south-west London.

Tania Clarence, 42, has been charged with the murder of four-year-old Olivia and three-year-old twins Max and Ben, who suffered from Spinal Muscular Atrophy, according to the BBC.

The police were called to an address in Thetford Road, New Malden, at around 21:30 BST on Tuesday, where they found the bodies of the children and Clarence with minor injuries. Clarence was taken to hospital for treatment of her injuries before being arrested and taken into custody at a south London police station.

Police have said that the investigation and post-mortem examinations of the children are continuing.
