The man accused of cheating in the London Marathon after running the second half of the race quicker than Mo Farah has denied that he cheated.

The suggestion is that Jason Scott-Williams, 34, skipped over a barrier to avoid nine miles of the race, giving him a time for the second half of the marathon that was only a few minutes shy of the world record, and faster than Olympian Mo Farah.

Jason Scotland-Williams, 34, denies that he had cheated and told the Sunday Telegraph that “there’s no way you can cheat” with all the stewards and people watching along the route. Instead, he claimed that his miraculous time was teh result of his seven-day-a-week exercise regime as a physical trainer.

The London Marathon have launched an official investigation into the results.
