The Deep Red Sky

Edinburgh band The Deep Red Sky start like your standard Frightened Rabbit meets The Twilight Sad affair, but their song “Zombies” (ahem, wrong monster) soon evaporates and reforms as a cloud of 4AD inspired Sons & Daughters meets The Strange Death of Liberal England barrage of sound. Talk about hectic weather.

Founded in 2010, their debut EP The Job. The Flat. The Girlfriend. was released in May 2011, but the quintet really began to carve a path for themselves last year when they performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, followed by gigs across Scotland and Eastern Europe.

Now ready and waiting with an album Plans in the wings, “Zombies” acts as their debut single, available from 21st January. Hear earlier song “Look On Your Face” below.
