Zack Snyder has unveiled the first sneak peak at the Batmobile from the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice movie.
The armoured vehicle appears to have taken inspiration more from the recent Dark Knight trilogy than Tim Burton’s two Batman movies that preceded it, and is equipped by a dual gun turret on the bonnet.
The 48-year-old director posted the photo on Twitter in response to some leaked images of the car with the words:
“Here’s a real picture of the #Batmobile”
Photographer Clay Enos took the snap with his Nikon D800, and commented that some images “deserve more” than an iPhone photography.
Ben Affleck will be playing the role of the Caped Crusader in the film, alongside an all-star cast including Henry Cavil as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and Jeremy Irons as Alfred.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release on May 2016.
