Bryan Singer, director of the Usual Suspects and the upcoming X-Men movie has been accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old in the 1990s.

In a lawsuit, Michael Egan, now 31, accuses Singer of sodomising him when he was a 17-year-old child actor and model in the 1990s. The lawsuit also claims assault, battery, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and claims that Singer gave Egan drugs and alcohol on multiple occasions.

Singer has denied the claims, with his lawyer describing them as “absurd and defamatory”.
