Google has been announced as the best place to work in the UK this year in Glassdoor’s Employees’ Choice Awards 2015.

The search giant was described as having “very cool culture, amazing people, offices to die for, some of the most innovative projects anywhere on the planet”, with employees giving the US-based company an average score of 4.4 out of five.

Department store John Lewis came in a close second with praise for its “democratic” values and safe working environment that “gives equal opportunity to all irrespective of language, race or status.”
